I came here for a referral after my dentist did a CT scan at his office to determine if I needed retreatment of root canal done 3 years ago. When I made the appointment I offered to send the results of the scan over and they said no need. Day of appointment they took an x-ray even though I explained I had a CT scan. Doctor comes in and says βitβs obvious you have an infection.β She did not want to see the results of the CT scan and was unable to answer my questions about why the first root canal failed. She had a lackadaisical attitude about treatment failing and was dismissive. This is a perfect example of narcissistic behavior in the medical field. These people are not care givers they are just there to make money. Do not think because someone has a degree they are good at their job. $128 for 5 minutes of no answers and poor bedside manner is atrocious. This doctor just wants your money so she can buy another Van Cleef bracelet.

I was referred by my dentist for retreatment and when I got to my appointment, the girl at the front desk told me oh we tried to call you that todayβs visit just for consultation is going to be $160. I told her I never received a phone call. No missed messages. Looked at my voicemails in front of her & I didnβt have any missed voicemails. She was like it says here we left it at the 503 #. Either way I told her that I wasnβt aware. When I made the appointment on Thursday the 3rd, I talked to an Almon or Alma or something & gave her my insurance information. I asked her to let me know ahead of time what my insurance covers as far as the appointment & what I should be expecting to pay if my insurance doesnβt cover something. She told me they would give me a call the day before my appointment to see if I have a co-pay and after the consultation they can tell me further costs. I was never called. I only received text reminders and forms to sign by text. Iβm very disappointed at this experience. I looked at my insurance app and it shows that they checked my coverage for a root canal, but what is $160 for? If my dentist is referring me why is that being charged of me for an initial consu

They need to work on better after care. Went in for a root canal back in December 2024. Got sick the night of. Called them the next morning, to see if my symptoms were normal, they ignored me. Then flu like symptoms, a rash on my arms and a fever began in addition to the constant headaches. I kept calling them to find out if all this was normal after a Root canal as I've never been sick like this before. Woman at front desk Finially suggested I call my general dentist. . It took my general to call them and request a follow up for them to even attempt to find out what went wrong. So I go to the follow-up. he tries to gas light me saying it's a coincidence I got sick the night of the treatment and I should see a doctor. Ok, fine, I go home. See a doctor, everything's normal. Almost 6weeks after the root canal I'm still having flu like symptoms, exhausted, fever coming and gong, headaches. At this point My mouth is starting to burn End of Jan. 2025 I Finially get enough strength to go to my general to get final restorations and by magic I'm feeling good again. If they hadn't ignored me the day after my root canal when I called asking a simple question. I wouldn't have to had

I'd like to start by expressing my appreciation for the dental work I received at this practice; it met all my expectations in terms of quality and care. However, my experience with their billing process left much to be desired. I was surprised to find I had been overcharged by $174.00 out of pocket for my treatment. It was only upon receiving in the mail a detailed statement and a prompt to contact the office that I became aware of the issue, concerning services rendered in August of 2023. Upon inquiring about the overcharge, a staff member informed me that it was, in their view, not an actual overcharge but rather a discrepancy due to their billing system's reliance on estimates. This explanation suggested to me that such issues might be common, which is concerning. Further, I was told that there had been an attempt to contact me about my account in August of 2023. However, I had interacted with the office in September of 2023 to schedule services, and no mention of any billing discrepancies was made then. Despite, someone from billing also calling me back in September to make me aware that I was out of insurance coverage for the year, and again, no mention of the overcharge.

Some 40 years ago I needed a root canal. None since, until now. When I walked into this office, was greeted warmly, taken into a room for x-rays, and then the doctor came in, identified himself, and proceeded with the root canal, explaining as he went along. This was a very easy procedure. The followup was unexpected, but appreciated - calls the next day and even several days later to see if I needed anything and to be sure I was not in any pain. They deserve 5 stars for their greeting, handling of services, and certainly their after-care. I would highly recommend Long Beach Endodontix.
